beautiful appalachia | frostburg, md

When I first visited Cumberland and Frostburg, I wasn't it's biggest fan. It's windy, and cold, in the middle of nowhere which bothered me for some reason. But with time, I found charm in its rundown antique and pawn shops. I began to appreciate being able to get away from the city and slow down a bit. I learned to love that place, and get excited anytime I can make my way back there. Going right around Halloween time was the best decision we could have made because the trees were bright and colorful, and the view from Dan's Rock was absolutely breathtaking.

I think this will be the last of my 2014 travel posts. I am so happy I got them all up before Christmas.
